XPeria Arc S auto power off issue

Hi,

I bought a Xperia Arc S (LT18a) & its having an issue with powering off itself. Sometimes it power off it self even I kept it plugged it in to charing, It wont power on how much time you tried unless you disconnect the battery for few seconds. Then only it power on when I press the power button. I flashed the same original firware(Androd 2.3.4) again to check whether it fix the issue. Unfortunaely its not, issue still persists.

Can anybody please let me know how to fix this if you have already face the same issue??

Thanks Guys.

Amila

have you ever tried repairing using SUS?

Yeap, I tried that as wll. It says the phone is up to date. i didnt try to upgrade the phone to ICS manually. Also today I noticed phone heated so much when it was doing nothing. I suspect phone shutdown it self may be bcos of that. But not sure. Yesterday I kept the phone with me for the whole day in my pocket, didnt realize it was hot or didnt do anything except taking couple of pics. I powerd on the phone yesterday I think for 5-6 times.

Thanks for your suggestion bro. Anyother idea what could be the reason??

Hi, Not that I want it to upgrade to ICS, but since the update is not available to this model yet I didnt update. Also I noted even yesterday & today phone heated without doing anything(was in my pocket), then it was off. I cant understand what could e the issue mate.

since your phone isn't on ICS yet,you can repair with SUS...

if the SUS say your phone already have the latest software, you can still proceed by clicking on the repair button.

repairing might solve your heating problem Slightly_smiling_Face

I did it. This is the outcome. Last resort would be install ICS :smileysad:. If that didnt work then I suspect it as a hardware issue.

What you think??
