Walkman doesn't see music on sd after Jelly Bean update

Hi,

I upgraded my Xperia S to JB a few days ago and the Walkman app still doesn't show any music from my SD card.

I tried rebooting the phone a few times, also ran a "Rescan Media" app (which did the trick in the past) a few times, but nothing seems to work.

Any tips/ideas on how to fix this?

Try to clear data for "media storage". Go to settings > apps > the tab "all" > media storage > clear data. Restart your phone. Then your phone will scan for media files again and your songs should appear in Walkman player after a little while.

Odd, I tried this before but then it didn't work. I probably had a .nomedia file in there somewhere blocking the indexer because I remember I removed a few of those files at some point.

I tried it again now and left the phone alone for a while, and everything is listed again in the media library. Sweet!

Thanks for the reply.
