Lock screen options grayed out

Hello,

I've recently upgraded my Xperia S phone to Android 4.1.2. I see there are new options in the Lock Screen screen (face recognition and swipe), however  they are both grayed out. Any idea what could be causing this?

I've fixed it like this:

Settings > Security > Clear Credentials
