Wait for Jelly Bean ( If its coming ) or root my Arc S ?

Hey guys i was wondering if the rumours are true and the JB is coming to our Arc S devices ? Cause my ICS Arc S is a little laggy even if i have Apex Launcher installed. So i was wondering if i should wait for a official JB or just flash/root my phone? I want to know if I flash my phone ( root it ) will nothing be changed and is it going to be any faster then with the regular ICS. Oh and any help, links to rooting would be helpfull.

Oh ok. Then if i root my phone will it be faster ? I want to remove all the crap apps i got with my phone like lets golf and like that.
