usb on the go

Hi. I've been using an otg (on the go) connection with my usb memory stick to watch some films. It worked fine at first but now I keep getting the message 'usb device unexpectedly removed'.
Does anyone have any idea why or how to overcome this problem?

try a different cable or test your memory stick with another phone or computer

Is the drive formatted with NTFS? If yes then reformat it with FAT32 or exFAT.

Hi guys. Sorry it's taken me so long to reply. I've been ill.
The cable is fine. I've used it on my tablet with a different usb stick with no problem. So it must be the memory stick or the format type. I will try both.

I have since bought an sd card so I tend to just transfer my films now.
