Updating problems on my country?

Is available in Argentina 2.3.4 official update? I have bought a Xperia mini pro (SK17a) a month ago and still have not received the update through PC Companion, so my phone runs android version version 2.3.3.

This worries me because ICS is ready to hit the market and the software on my pcmakes me think I have a limitation with updates

Thanks, I'm downloading the software that you recommended.

By common sense I tried to update it with PC Companion that comes with the phone.

I will try now to see what happens and then comment.

when you try to update your phone with PCC what happen?

is your phone branded to a network or is it unlocked/SIMfree?

Do not worry, will mark the answer as correct when I have my phone updated. I am charging the battery at 100% to try the update.

My phone is branded to a network and PCC now tells me that my phone is updated

(Remember it's a SK17a and still running version 2.3.3)

ok the problem is your network not your phone or SONY, there are certain networks that do NOT release the updates, you are really behind, you have an option to manually update your phone, thus debranding your phone, in other words it will delete apps made by your network, but you will get the update now.

Well, I just made an attempt to update but I stopped him before beginning. I stoppedbecause I read what you said about my network operator and I got to thinking that would remove the support they give me.

However SEUS told me that my phone was already updated with the latest version, but if it did not work well could overwrite it again, which as I said, I did not try

Thanks for your help:smileygrin:. Later I'll contact my operator and decide what to do with the software.

what support are you refering to? if you use SUS or PCC it won't remove anything, if you use Flashtool it will remove the network apps, you can always flash/re-install your network's firmware.

go to settings -> about phone and check the "Build number"

here is a list of updates that you are missing

I stoppedbecause I read whatyou said about my network operator and I got to thinking that would remove the support they give me.

I refer to technical support, the help they give me when I have problems or serviceconfiguration. I also refer to the warranty, and they gave me the phone a month ago. (I am using a translator and I hope you understand so clearly what I'm saying)

well, I think I have a few pending updates .. because my phone says its build number is: 4.0.A.2.335

Thank you very much for explaining about FlashTool and re-installing network's firmware
