Update Xperia U with New 6.0.B.3.171(3 Jul 2012)

After 6.0.B.3.162 update I am facing severe network drop every 30mins, have to restart the cell to get network access. Please tell me how to update my phone to new release 6.0.B.3.171.

Is this update available in INDIA ???

PCC says my xperia U is having latest software i.e. 6.0.B.3.162

Issue is resolved after .184 update

Just a few questions-

1) I cant believe that, as a customer, waiting my only solution for a fault by Sony? Ok, you do not have a solution at hand currently, but why should the customer suffer?

2) i believe this problem has been there for over a fortnight now; why then is the update still available via Sony update centre? Sony - if you know there is a problem with this update, why not remove the update first, lest you infect other phones too?

3) Why can't you be more pro-active about keeping us posted on possible solutions, temp arrangements, timelines to teh fix etc.?

4) Since it is a global problem, I would expect Sony to recall this product - especially since teh launch of teh phoen was barely a month back. (I assume companies rarely offer recalls in India but then as I said it is aglobal problem).

Sony guys - we need answers please - shutting quiet will only infuriate people further.

Today is 10 th of July still upadte is not available. Is it that much difficult to distribute. At least tell the date of relase in INDIA. I am getting mad in connecting the phone to PC. What a disappointment....

why should we be disappointed?! Well if sony is doing this with us, just stop recommending sony phones to everyone.. make them disappointed so they are thaught a good lesson and they stop getting greedy! Let their shares/ratings, sales, etc go down so they understand what were they doing with customers and what great depression is!

Hi dashingguyof2k, please don't blame SONY.

In India i paid only Rs 16500 for Xperia U. This mob is amazing. Just think about the budget.

As I'm developing apps for iOS and Android, I have iPhone 4S(Rs 48000), Samsung Galaxy S3(Rs 38000) and Xperia U(Rs 16500).

But i found Xperia U is Great because this budget mob is performing as good as highly priced iPhone and S3 in many point of usages.

Sony will solve the problems soon. In India Sony's smart phone market is growing bigger than all others. I'm really happy with sony.

We must realise that Sony realesed many models and they are in rush to release ICS for all of them. But a funny fact, "Google released Jelly Bean as the next Android OS". Now this may become a new problem for Sony.

But those points are not useful for customers. Sony must increase their developer base and Sony must pay attention to network issue because this may create a negative impact against their market.

the bottom line is "I WANT WHAT I PAID FOR"

& i agree on the part that google increased the problems of sony by releasing jelly bean.

i wonder whether we will get it.....

I agree with both of you. But when we receive jelly bean. Google might have gone to their newer version.

8 days after releasing firmware 6.0.B.3.171 still unavailable to its customers.

" Jelly bean"  on xperia U. I think it will be a dream. hmmmmmmm....

OK OK! But i told this because Samsung's mobs at this price range are very worst in point of usage.

iPhone is great! But, do you know iOS also got blamed for network issue once?

I just wanna express my feeling. But this is not good that Sony paid no attention on network issue, low volume issue and reatart issue.

So many people are facing this issue, looks like this update is released, without basic testing
