Update problem - dead phone

I connected my phone to my compter & it told me an update was available.

The update downloaded, then PC Companion said 'checking phone'

The phone then shut down & then a 'connection problem' was reported.

I have tried to re-start the phone (both with & without USB connected) - it will not power on.

What can I do ?

sounds like what happened to my xperia x10i mini. think you may of bricked your phone.

only thing i can think of is send it to be repaired by sony

I was briefly happy - but I think your 'brick' diagnosis is correct - what a let-down.....

PS - I installed SUS, but it won't even register a connection.

Just tried again - MUCH to my surprise the phone now switched on....

Using PC companion (very carefully) after it reported 'checking phone' it now actually rebooted & then the phone responded to 'USB + 'vol down' - sucess...

A warning/error message would help....
