Unwanted icon

I downloaded several apps today and one of them has led to an icon being displayed on my home page. It says Top Apps under a yellow star.

The "offending" app was possibly a droid one.

Any ideas on how to get rid of it? I have uninstalled the apps that may have caused it, but it stays there.

Thanks for the help but its very late, I have a headache and am not in a state to learn new tricks.

OTOH -- curiosity got the better of me.

I worked out a two handed way of doing it, and eureka, it has disappred.
