Hey guys., I wanted to take videos of the fishes inside an aquarium in my friends house, but I find it hard due to the fact that the capacitve keys of the device are so sensitive that they sense the water pressure as a command especially the home key which opens up the app tray. Is there any way that I could just disable the keys temporarily? I just wonder how they did all those underwater shots in youtube without triggering the keys.. well it was my xperia active's first underwater activity, and the Water resistance performed brilliantly., my phone swam with fishes!
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can hold the phone underwater before you activate the camera, and then activate the camera while underwater by holding down the shutter button instead of opening the app from the menu, I think the water doesn't activate the touch buttons once it's fully underwater.
Great I tried it, it worked!, but you can only activate the camera via the shutter for stills, but how about taking video? I can't slide the option to take video
Thanks!!
I'm afraid I don't have any ideas for that.
Why don't you just start the video before you immerse the camera?
I found out that sliding into water sideways activates the buttons but if u put it in horizontaly the buttons doesnt activate that often.
I tried that, once the capacitive buttons touch the water it is activated, so when its underwater, you cannot take videos because either it enters the app tray or its closed.
