Unable to update firmware

Hi,

yesterday PC Companion toild that there was a new softwrae update (Android 4.3), but unfortunately i'm not able to update.

After preparing the phone and download the uopdate, when the phone switch off i'm not able to start the update process holding volume down and connecting usb cable. Simply nothing happen, no led flashing.

The cable is original and I try also with volume up.

I don't know if could be useful, but my phone doesn't charge when it was switch off.

Bye

Hi Acolaja,

Follow the update guide to the letter and:

- When it says to turn of you phone, also do hard reset: Hold: VOL-UP and then als hold PWR until your phone vibrates 3 times.

- When your phone is off, just insert the USB cable holding volume down.

- If nothing happens, keep holding the volume down button, but now combine it with the power button.

- Update starts

Your first attempt may fail. When your phone enters flashmode, windows has to install new drivers. Your computer may not finish in time.

Could you also check if your phone is able to charge when powered off?

If you are using PCC then there is no need to unplug your phone and hold volume down etc unless you are running a repair from the phone switched off position - However you can also update via SUS here

Thank you,

i will try with SUS, i'm waiting for download to start.

It is not me that switch off the phone. It is PC Companion that after starting the update process switch off the phone and then ask me to unplug tha usb cable and plug it again holding volume down.
