The update did...nothing?

I had the message saying I could update to 4.4 (may have that wrong, it's Kitkat I had the option for) It tells me to use PC companion and all that, I went through it all, downloaded left it to it, then at the end it says, unplug then turn it on, so I do that...

It's exactly the same.

I checked my android version, it's still 4.1.2, so I spent ages download and installing... The exact same OS?

I'm afraid that I'm missing out on this update, and that my phone is just going to be "out of date" now because it's now claiming it has the latest version, I don't want to miss out because of a bug Slightly_frowning_Face

If the update is indeed available to you then use SUS

Update Service (SUS)

PC Companion (PCC)

Bridge (for Mac)

That's impossible, either you have 4.1 or 4.3, and that's likely the last update for the Xperia T.

Just like any other update

http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/software/phones/xperia-t/

You have 2 options

either

1) wait

2) manually update your phone

Latest available software

You may already have the latest software, depending on the date of purchase. Software updates are released at different times depending on operator and/or country. Therefore, we cannot give you an exact date for when a specific update will be available for your device.

Android version: Google Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean)

Latest available software: 9.2.A.1.199

Release started: 2014-03-10

Sony PC companion then clearly stated the new update was for 4.4/4.3 I may have that bit wrong but it was definately higher than 4.2 because I remember it skipping that. I know it definatly gave me the option to update.

I went through the update process and it's now still "Android version 4.1.2"

Which means I already successfully did 1) Wait.

If I do it manually, and there was another software update, would I be able to update that automatically or would I then have to do everything manually?

I don't think it's going to update me to 4.3, but I'm able to reinstall what I already have, so I figure this is my best shot at it. (I used SUS instead of sony PC companion, which is what I tried the first time) so at least now I have hope that when this update becomes more widely availible for my phone, then I can attempt to update it again. (As I can reinstall)

Thank you.

No problem, you can also manually update your phone

The exact same thing happened to me. Spent an hour updating to 4.3, reset my phone as instructed and its still showing 4.1.2.

Also it has corrupt my SD card and wiped all my photos.

Nice one Sony!!
