Texting Problems on Xperia Mini ST

Hi all,

from the first day that I got this phone I've found texting impossible on this phone...I also have the 2010 X10 Mini which has a smaller screen, so I am more than comfortable with touch screens and small screens! But no matter how much I try, how many settings I change, when I press one button on screen it presses a few others and it takes me 10 minutes to send one text...how infuriating!

I notice many people have complained that the screen is 'too sensitive'...is that the problem?

Anyone else have this trouble? Any advice?

How did you change the keyboard?

To change keyboard, launch Messaging app>New message, longpress on 'Write message' area and select desire keyboard.

Hi, did you try texting in landscape mode? Having same result?

Hi yeah I have and that's easier, though I've generally not liked using it that way. I've had a few days of terrible texting (10 mins no joke) and I used to be a text addict, no I hate it.

I found about 6 different keyboards in the Android market that I want to text but I cannot switch the keyboard, it keeps defaulting back to 'international keyboard' grr!

No problem .... I guess you can now fully utilise your 10 minutes, back to text addict! Winking_Face
