text messages "sending" & auto read messages

i have 2 issues with text messaging on my ray.

1. the phone vibrates to say i have a text, yet no notification, i go to inbox and there is a text that has been read, yet not by me! this doesnt happen all the time only sometimes, and with certain numbers

2. i send a text and sometimes it just hangs on "sending", i have to copy the text and send it again for the original text to display the date and time and to be actually sent, and thus i end up texting people the same message twice.

anyone else had either of these issues? any suggestions?

2 . it might be due to some lag .. how many messages do you have in your inbox

one option is there ,that may help you with both the issue , but it will clear all messages from messaging app ie; clearing data of messaging app ( settings> applications> manage app> all> messaging> clear data ).. although no guarantee that it will solve it for sure
