Morning all,
I use my phone at work and can connect to the office WiFi however to gain access to the internet I need to put in a proxy server. On my previous Android phone there was an option to specify a "Proxy" server however I am unable to find it on my new Xperia P.
Would someone be kind enough to point me in the correct direction for where I can put in these Proxy settings so I can connect to the internet at work. I am unable to use Data Traffic as the signal in this area is quite poor.
Thank you in advance,
Solved! Go to Solution.
you can add proxy server, actually you can set proxy for a specific network.go to wifi-go to the network-tap longer on it-modify network and go down down until you see show advanced options.there you get the proxy and port fields.it should work.
you may need to download apps on google play to be able to use proxy.
The only apps I can see on Google Play require my phone to be rooted. Is there no way to do this through the OS?
unfortunately the stock OS does not support this feature,
how about searching browsers that support proxy?
It's strange because my last Android phone has Proxy support. I don't understand why Sony would remove it.
Thank you so much. That answered my question and now I have internet at work.
You are amazing
You are welcome,my friend.
