Sort contacts by family name

How can I sort my contacts by family name ? By default they come by first name. As explained in the tutorial, I tried through menu -> filter but then the option "filter by list" or something like that doesn't show up... What's wrong ?

Hi,

You should be able to set this by following these steps if you are running on Android 4.0:

Contacts > Menu key > Filter > Sort List by > Last name.

If your handset is running on Android 2.3.4, this option would not be available.
