Hi, i bought my Sola (in italy it's called Sole) and today i bought the first three games on the Play Store. They are Fifa 12, Pes 12 and GTA III and I installed also others free 3D games from Gameloft (like Asphalt 5 and Temple Run). Finally the result is that in some situations with Fifa 12, Pes 12 and Temple Run the screen goes black for a while and then it reappears frozen for some seconds with the game in pause. Then if i go to tap on Resume Match the graphic it's very lagged and it goes black again after few seconds or totally frozen(but i am able to exit the game and use the phone normally). I thought about RAM problem because i tried it after a killing process operation and it takes more time to present the problem. Someone who tried or have an idea about this problem ?
Solved! Go to Solution.
if you have a lot of heavy apps running will create issues like this, also if you have
taskillers
antivirus or
battery defender
Uninstall them, they create more harm than it helps

Update: I used for 40 minutes StabiltyTest v2.4 from Play Store and it shows no errors also if it presents many lagging situations(every 5/6 seconds during the test). I suppose even more that is a problem of not enough RAM.
Ok i just removed Mc Afee Security (that was pre-installed), advanced task killer and the softwares to test the phone functions. I just ran GTA III now and i experienced "only" the lags problems, actually also with FIFA 12. The black screen problem seems to be solved. Now there is only the lag problem. I think that the Mali-400 MP it's enough to run that kind of games, isn't it ?
that and it doesn't have enough RAM

Update: It was definitely Mc Afee Security(pre-installed by Sony).
I'm sorry if i am posting different messages but i am trying now all the set ups to have a more specific diagnostic.
I saw in GTA III more options for the video and bringing it in a less good graphic(actually just a bit less) it has no lagging problems.
Obviously this smartphone (like almost all the smartphones) are not designed to play(for that we have Xbox360, PS3, PC, PSP, PSVita and others stuffs), but I recommend all to uninstall that kind of softwares to enjoy in the best way all the features of this fantastic smartphone. (It is more reactive also in the menu and animations)
Really thank you for your advice uliwooly! (and sorry for my not perfect english!)
Anytime. the McAfee app was pre-loaded few months ago, why? I don't know why, but it's useless, as you can see it creates more issues than it solve. same goes with taskillers

I think that this is the big difference from Apple devices. On Android you have more liberty, every brand does the own modification and provides different software bundles, different homescreens and different hardware. That's absolutely right and great for the customers who have a great variety of choice. But finally what you have it's only: less stability and less security.
I hope that Sony(that probably is a great brand at the same level of Apple)solves all the bugs of their phone(or provides no bundled idiot programs, and a light version of its AndroidMod for smartphones under the 512MB of RAM)because they are greatly well manufactured with excellent materials and beautiful to use and to see.
with ICS you get to delete them also you can root your phone -> install titanium backup and delete the bloatware (pre-installed apps)

I think i will wait the official ICS release from Sony. I will evaluate their work on the new Android version and then if is necessary i will root my phone like i made with my previous android phones. Honestly after some months with the rooted phone and some roms tried, the best ROM was always the one released by the manufacturer
