Screen flickering problem with new update(4.0.2.A.0.62)

My screen is flickering when light conditions is low:smileysad:.i thought new .62 update fix that problem and i update my phone but problem still remains:smileycry:....i saw some users have the same problem and i saw this answer in another discussion

( This is related to the auto brightness in your phone. To avoid this, make sure you have the latest software (update via http://www.sonyericsson.com/update) and set the screen brightness to max. The screen will now stop the auto adjustment of the screen and it will not flicker anymore.)

and i do that, but not work for me.please help!!!!(sorry for my bad english:smileysad:)

strange, it must not happen like this, if your build number is .62

... my advice is to wait for ICS update because it has the feature to control ambient light sensor

if you don't want to wait then try reflashing your firmware using pc companion

If SE had given this phone to me for free, waiting would be an option I would consider.

However, I have paid for it with real money and I demand SE Team gives equally real sollution. Their other option is to loose a loyal Sony fan just because of a faulty light sensor software...

It is up to you, SE team and you are realy running out of time.

instead asking us about the survey why not take it to action.got my active last feb.24 9pm onwards i checked and be familiar with active, provided i have x10i. my son told me the screen is not really that bright have noticed it as well.maybe i was used to with x10i.then sat.morning screen is much brighter so i liked it, then i moved to a corner much darker this is where i notice the screen flicker and dimmed. i cover the light sensor and discover the flickering comes from the ALS. my son told me i was like using a solar powered calculator,( bit upset about the joke). so i go back to the store where i bought it,they are aware about the xperia mini screen or ALS, they did not even check it and offer other models and even return my money. so i ended with xperia ray, still planning to get active by May hoping ICS will rectify it. to whom it may concern we people you see here replying means we are loyal please address this not by asking for survey we need action asap.the man from manila.:smileydevil:
