Rooting is possible or Not??

I wish to root my SE Live With Walkman. As I am novice, so I dont risk to unlock bootloader or flashing a new custom ROM. I root my phone as I  want to get rid of Bloatwares. Please tell me whether it is possible to ROOT my SE LWW?

Flashing firmware remove everything (except contentsin SD card). After flashing, you need to start very beginning means Setup Phone Language.

Yes, only if you do it OTA and not using PCC

Do you loose your apps and settings when doing a OTA firmware update?

It's a pitty i can't do a nandroid backup of my rooted phone with a locked bootloader or can i?

no you need to unlock your bootloader

All these restrictions grrr. When you buy a pc you have full control over your pc. You can do simple things like install firewall, browse the entire system, uninstall bloatware. And more advanced things like ghost image backups. Why oh why they will not allow these feature by default on our phones? And force us to make drastic decisions like give up our warrenties is a shame. I really hope they are less restrictive with ICS.

is the same with all Androids, if you unlock the bootloader your warranty is gone.
