How to remove/reset/clear/delete intellisense data from Xperia x10?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Are you using the 'Default input' keyboard? Long press 'Write message' area to check/select.
whats intellisinse..??
What do you mean?
Okay, it seems that I am not clear enough to explain my point.
Here is what I think...
While typing a text on your phone, when keyboard shows suggestion for the typed alphabet it is called as IntelliSense. When you have typed something first time like "Sonny" next time when you type "S" your phone will display "Sonny" as a suggestion. In short, it shows all the words typed by you in the past and I wanted to delete that history.
I couldn't found the solution to delete all the words however I found a temporary solution and I want to share it because some other user may need it for their XPERIA phone.
While typing if you get a suggestion then long press the suggested word which you want to remove. Phone willl then give you option whether do you want to delete this word from dictionary , click YES and word will be deleted.
But I don't found how to stop this suggestion thing or how to delete entire dictionary of suggestion words.
I anybody finds it please let me know.
Thanks
the only way to delete the entire dictionary is to do a factory/setting reset.

Hmmh...but that won't be a good solution to reset a phone to factory setting,
I think there should be an option to disable intellisense, unfortunately there is no such option.
I think I can use the temporary work around of deleting single word each time.
Indeed its not a good solution, it seems that we will have that option with ICS
there was another work around..i'm sure it was...
some user told me the way
i totally forgot . it doesnt requires the phone to be formatted..
just clearing data of something..what was it..
do you rememeber something uliwoolyl..??
i'm 100% sure . that clearing some applications data in all tab in applications will remove this ...
how about settings -> applications -> manage applications -> all -> user dictionary -> clear cache
