Hello world !
I've got a quite big problem with the wifi tethering solution on my Xperia S.
I want to connect my laptop or my android tablet on it. It works great if I define any security rules. Both devices were connected. But if I choose WPA2 PSK as security rules + password, both devices rejected the connection. They did not even asked for the password !
And as you think, I don't really want to leave on the tethering within a security rule ! Did I forgot something ?
Thanks for your answer and sorry for my not really good english

Check that you haven't put any special character in SSID or password, this can cause problems. See this thread for more info.

Thanks !
First, I wasn't convinced of this answer. Because you're links didn't really speak of tethering.
But the answer was in SSID. The default SSID given by the phone was "xperia sdec". And the space create the error. I found this unbelievable that an automatic creating SSID provocates an error ! (and don't understand that i don't found something on internet)
Now I can use a secured tethering ! Great and thanks !
My problem is slightly different. I can't seem to be able to create a hotspot without an error message.
What is causing this error.
