I have been uploading images from Xperira arc S to my PC without problems until this week.
Now I can't find the photos I have taken recently! I can see all the photos I have taken in the gallery on the phone, but the recent photos don't appear in the file manager on my pc, only the old ones. I can't locate any files on the phone so as to see where they might be actually stored on the phone.
I had got over 1200 photos on my phone, but could only see the first 800 in the file manager on the pc. I wondered if perhaps there was a memory problem, so deleted over 700 of those 800 photos, took a new photo and it appeared in the file manager and I was able to upload it to the pc so I thought the problem was resolved. I went out for the day yesterday and took a couple of hundred photos (sightseeing!), and now the same problem - they are not showing up in the file manager on the pc so I can't upload them.
Anyone got any ideas as to what is happening and how I can find the photo files to download them? Are all photos stored on the memory card? Is there anywhere else the phone could be storing them?
Many thanks for your help.

Hi
Yes, I can see the two locations in the file manager.
I can't find anywhere in the camera app to see where to select where to store the photos - I have looked extensively and also looked through all the info on the phone and can't find any info on this. I can only see under the general phone settings/storage that there is an SD card and Internal memory, but there is nowhere to see what is stored here or to select what gets stored to each location.
Ok, I checked the connectivity settings and it was already set to MTP, so I switched it to MSC and reconnected the phone to the computer. All the photos on the phone then became visible on the PC and I have not downloaded them! Hurray!
Thank you very much for your support, Francis. Not sure why the problem occurred as I have always had the connectivity set to MSC - guess it's just one of those computer things. Wouldn't have got there without your help!!!
In gratitude,
Ruby
Good to hear that!
Glad I could help you.
Take care.
