hello friends,
this is my 1st smartphone & i dont know how to utilise this phone yet.
i have these pre-installed apps :
1. Neo reader
2. OfficeSuite
3. PlayNow
4. Power saver
5. Wisepilot
6. timesPoynt
7. astro
8. appXtra
9. Application Installer
10. liveware manager
can everybody please make some comments about each app? if there are better alternatives then please do suggest. can i delete these apps coz they use lots of ram?
i have found that only ~120 MB RAM is free for me. whenever i kill some apps they again appear.
any solutions?
i want to sync my yahoo account just like gmail does. is this possible?
i hope experienced users like uliwooly answer this thread.:smileyconfused:
thank you.
Solved! Go to Solution.
of course i connected when i was asked to.:smileysilly:
i tried again this time disabled antivirus & firewall.
but still the same.
what i am noticing is that, the moment i connect my phone to pc 2-3 secs after that java update shows the 'need help?' thing.
regarding 'xperia update application' i think you were talking about update centre. i refreshed it again & again & for all 3 options it showed that i had the latest software.
does this mean that my phone is faulty?
Nopes everything is fine with your phone.
You have no other option but just to wait
sorry but wait for what?
is a fix going to be submitted in the next firmware update?
does this mean that the problem is for all xperia u's while connecting to xp?
please reply so that i can take a sigh of relief.:smileyconfused:
There is no problem with your Xperia U
and
This problem is not with every Xperia U
But you know where the actuall problem lies ? it lies within the PC and Internet connection
If you could try with other pc and internet connection you might be able to update your phone
Although at present the problem is with the Sony servers as well
isn't it a messed up post ?
Application Installer is usefull if you develop apps.
Also usefull if you download apps as .apk files from unethical sources like 4shared dot com.
Though, without Application Installer, you can directly install apps via file manager too.
thanks kumar!
currently there is only 1 issue that i am facing. see here.
i am unable to install any apps at all on my phone which makes my phone near to useless.
could u possibly think of a solution? as sony guys havnt replied yet
