POWER SAVING TOOL

Hello,

I accidently removed the power saving tool from my Xperia U smartphone.

Is there any possibility to re-install the application on my phone ?

Thanks,

Filip

if it came with the phone, there is a big chance that if you so a factory data reset or a repair using Sony Update Service,

it would restore all of the bloatwares that came with the phone too.

I believe you have to do the mother of all resets: factory reset. Back up your data and apps or settings  and the reset will reinstall all your previous apps (those that came with the phone).

This does seem odd, as the power save application is apart of the operating system and can not be deleted from the device. Have you tried simply restarting the phone as some applications may look like they have been removed but in actuality they have not been.

Most of the pre-installed are not removable, indeed.

However, the "Power Save" app is an exception, as are "Neoreader", "Wisepilot", "officeSuite" and "Play Now". These are all pre-installed at the factory, yet they are removable by the user.

I woudl really like to re-install it on my phone. Maybe someone from Sony is willing to mail the app to my mailbox ?

Thanks in advance,

Filip

There are apps that come with the phone that can be uninstalled. Power Saving is one of them.

if anyone willing to help, the apllication is on the \system\app\ folder .. browse with es file explorer
