Today I tired to upgrade my Xperia arc S to the new version offered by PC Companion software. My phone is new, I bought it last Friday so it was originally loaded with Android 4.0.2.A.0.62.
The phase of software download to the PC went right, on second step I disconnected the phone and connected it to USB as instructed - keeping the "Back" button pressed while inserting the USB cable to the phone. Next step started normally, animation was showing the PC to Phone data transfer and somewhere in the middle of the process the error message appeared saying that some error occurred. After I pressed "Retry" button the instruction appeared to disconnect the phone, check the battery status is above 50%, switch off etc. As the phone was switched off I tried to start it and after the SONY sign a sign appeared showing yellow ! in a white triangle and animated icon of the phone, after that the phone switched off itself. So now I have completely inoperational devise and PC Companion can't even recognize it... Can somebody help me? Thanks in advance.
