Phone can't start, neither in fastboot mode, no blue light

Hi,

I've read all the posts regarding this kind of topic but with no luck for me.

The problem started few days ago, when my phone asked me for a restart because no sim card detected. OK, let's do it - I said. After that the phone can't start anymore, the green light appeared and the SONY title was on the screen but the start process stopped at this time, and was no reaction for anything. At this point the ON/OFF button was not helped to switch off also. I had to take out the battery for a retry.

I've tried to repair the phone software with the PC Companion software. The upgrade process was completed succesfully, but after that the problem still exist, the phone cannot start, I leave it for 10 mins, because the PC Companion said that the first start maybe longer, but I think the 10mins should be enough. So no luck with this try but it cleared to me that the phone can access the FLASHMODE with the "back" button and USB plug.

After that I tried to get some information with Sony EMMA. The EMMA said that the phone is recognized but the bootloader is locked, so I visited the recommended site unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com. I followed the recommendations, the Android Studio and Google driver were installed well, with the updated android_winusb.inf, but after that I can't start the phone on FASTBOOT mode. The fastboot devices command did not detected the phone. I can't see the blue light, I've tried it with all of the buttons+USB plug.

My last try was a 3rd party tool, Flashtool. It recognized the phone and entered it to FLASHMODE but can't unlock the bootloader, as the product said, it will not working on the official way.

One more comment, the phone can charge the battery, if I plug the USB cable, I can see the red light if the battery low, I can see the battery icon filling in the screen and see the green light when it's charged.

What can I do anymore for start the phone?

@Stockton

That could be a hardware issue.

Why don't you flash the phone with Flashtool?

Could you suggest me a phone ROM? I'm not so familiar with the names and versions of possible Xperia ray ROMs.

Thank you in advance.

I've found one, and implemented it with Flashtool. The flashing has succesfully completed, but the problem still exist, the phone don't want to start, only see a Sony title on the screen and freeze.

It sounds like the kernel is fine but after that is fails to boot - Think of it like a Pc you see the boot up page like press ESC or Del for Bios etc then it begins to boot up so the kernel here is like the screen I just mentioned so it would appear or atleast it does to me that you have a hardware issue linked to the internal memory chip

Thank you very much for your reply.

Is there any way to make sure about this hardware error?

I like this phone, and would like to do everything if I could repair.

From someone who flashes on a regular basis this definitely sounds like hardware because if Pc Companion and more so flashtool failed to fix the issue then this leaves a hardware issue as the final reason
