After upgrading to JB my photo Album is empty. All my photos - both old ones taken with ICS and new ones taken with JB - are located at:
/storage/sdcard0/DCIM/100ANDRO/
... but I can reach them only throught the camera app, that is: by clicking on a saved photo on the camera screen. So where does Album look for photos, since it doesn't find any? And how can I change the path in Album?
Sorry if this has been discussed already; I didn't find any such discussions.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Very awkard,it usually takes more after the update to add all the media.
You need to clear cache data of the album,in apps-all and restart the phone.
Thanks, but I've tried that already and did it once more now. It doesn't help: the Album is still all black & empty.
Ah - problem solved! Alexdon, you told me to "clear cache data". Well, I interpreted it as "clear cache", since there is no such option as "clear cache data": only "clear cache" or "clear data" The latter wipes out all saved data from the program. Since I had nothing to lose, I now tried that option, then rebooted - and voilà: now the photos are there!
Thanks! (But remember: choose your words with greater accuracy ;-))
Sorry for my crazy answer,i wanted to tell you to delete cache and to delete data(both of them),still cache is still data.I am glad it worked for you.I will be more careful!!!
