I am trying to pair my new xperia arc with my Windows 7 computer. The phone shows in the devices and printers window but with an exclamation mark beside it. When I choose the troubleshooting option I am informed that the device driver can not be found. I have tried to update the driver but get the same message. Looking at the Sony Errikson site, I can not find a driver to download. Has anyone else had this problem and could offer advice for which I would be very grateful.
Thanks
Sooti

I still get the exclamation mark next to the phone icon in Devices and Printers but I can transfer photos using bluetooth without having to get permission every time.
hmm ok... i can do that too
so i dont know what all will change if the arc doesnt have the exclamation mark and doesnt have the status as "needs troubleshooting"
i connected my nokia n95 also....it also has the same exclamation mark..dont know why..
after updating i'm getting permissions everytime i need to send or receive a file
also i just paired my motorola rokr with windows 7 and it installed all the drivers..
and i can send multiple files by opening the phone's sd card..
i mean its behave like if i have connected via usb..
i dont have xperia arc's driver so i cant see all the files and folders via bluetooth and i'm limited to send only one file to my phone..
i wil try uliwooly's suggestion and suze's in another thread to install all the drivers randomly.
how to install drivers from this site ..???
