my phone can't upgrade to 4.0!!!!

i have a quesion !! when connet my xperia ray to pc companion, and start the phone software update , at the step "2 prepare" it stop working and pop out a masage "installation error (unable to install or start phone software update components.)" can i know the way i fix the problem ?

SUS ( Sony Update Service)  ... download and install it on pc and follow the on-screen instructions http://www-support-downloads.sonymobile.com/Software%20Downloads/Update_Service_Setup-2.11.12.5.exe

Hi Friends,

Please update to latest Java version in your computer and then try. First time i am also getting the same error "installation error unable to install or start phone software update components" . After updating the java version in my computer, Open the PC companion and follow the steps it works......enjoy the new ICS 4
