Media Go won't Install

I am trying to install Media Go 2.1 on my newish HP Laptop that runs on Windows 7 so that I can transfer music files across to my new Experia Arc S phone. The installation begins and then fails each time with the following message: "There was an error installing the PlayStation(R)Store".

Unpacking the Media Go Installer

Installing PlayStation(R)Store for Media Go

There was an error installing the PlayStation(R)Store.

Click Cancel to exit.

I have disabled Kaspersky Internet protection and switched off the firewall, but it makes no difference.  I also tried installing a lower version Media Go 1.7 and still received the same message.

  1. Can anyone advise if they have had this problem and how they fixed it?
  2. I have Windows Media Player, iTunes and other softwareon my laptop.  Could they be affecting it?

Many thanks

you know, you don't need media go to transfer music, connect your Xperia S to your computer -> go to my computer -> Xperia S -> internal memory -> Music -> copy paste your music.

Thanks very much.  A great answer that worked straightaway and so quick.  Much appreciated.:smileyhappy:

Anytime, if you MUST use Media Go, restart your PC -> f8 -> safe mode -> try to install it there.
