LED notification question (flashes like 100 times per second during incoming calls)

Hi. I want to ask.

When my Xperia Mini Pro receives incoming calls, or whatsapp notification,

my LED notification flashes like...100 or 1000 times per second. I didn't count, but you get the idea of how fast it's going. After the notification tone or ringtone, it goes back to normal, green, flashing like 1 per second or 2 seconds once (didn't time it too, but bottom line, normal flashing rate).

And the colour is something like between white and purple, while the notification tone or ringtone is played.

I couldn't remember my previous xperia x10 mini acting like this.

I want to ask, is this even normal for all mini pro models?

Edit: I can't post the video on it, because in the video, with 24 or 30 fps, you can't see the "100 flashes per second". Also the color in video looks just normal white, nothing mix white with purple due to camera color.

Thanks in advance.

The notification led on my Xperia Mini is also flashing as you described while the phone is ringing. I don't use what's app so I can't verify that. I believe it's normal and makes sense - when you have the phone on silent without vibration it can catch your eye. It took me a while to find out, too.. The LED being on the top side of the phone doesn't help it do what it's supposed to - get your attention.

It's already XXI century all electronics have cameras but somehow people still don't know how to even film something so it would be visible.

it CANT flash more then 24 times in second..if it would - you cannot detect it as flashing  100...1000 times LOL

old tvs flashes 50 times per second and you cannot detect that... LCD's..plasmas and so on flashes too..but you do not see that, so it's max 5 times per second... your led can flash.

Hi Bro,

I think you installed some software like GOSMSPRO or something. I know for a fact that GOSMSPRO has an option to select the color of the notification light and also the rate at which it blinks. It also clears mentions that you need to disable similar notifications so that you dont get duplicate notifications.

Just an info. Thought it might help.
