Jelly Bean BUG (DLNA Throw; Notification LED)

using my xperia p to play videos/movies (throw) on my DLNA HDTV is bug, it wont play at all. For photos and walkman, there seems to be no problem when using Throw DLNA. the videos I'm playing were default videos when my phone firs bought (in ICS). This problem is not present when my xperia p was still in ICS.

notification led is not working when stamina mode is enabled. but it's working when i disable stamina mode. Even if I checked it on its white list, still problem persist.

any workaround here? I already repaired it through SUS, I even reset it to factory settings. no luck at all.

1) Notification Led- it's not a bug - it's a feature. Maybe Sony will change something in the next update (separate enable/disable when Stamina is On).

2) Throw DLNA - It's a bug. I can't also play video by DLNA to TV... Music and photos work.

As piotrom87 says, Stamina disables LED to save power but we have forwarded the feedback to change this.

Regarding not being able to throw video i can replicate the problem as well. I will escalate this.

Thx very much for reply Slightly_smiling_Face

Additionally, I can say that I've tried to play video (on TV/notebook), just recorded by the phone (mp4 file) few minutes ago and it's impossible...  When I play the same video not using 'Throw' - only on the phone screen - everything is OK (music and photos work perfect both phone screen and HDTV). So the problem is in 'Throw' app or DLNA streaming video - probably not in 'Films' app.

Not sure if it will work as a workaround but you could try using a 3:rd party DLNA-server in the phone like iMediaShare or similar.

Thanks for the reply. The throw feature is a rebranded DLNA feature which is present in ICS and it works well.

Looking forward on this issue in the next update.

I've checked it.

There are 2 solution to workaroung this bug:

1) Install 3rd party app like iMediaShare (Thx Rickard). I tested 'iMediaShare lite' and it works perfect.

2) Playing by TV, video file located on the phone - NOT using Throw and pushing Play in Movies app - but turning on HDTV, choosing source to DLNA/network/LT22i or something, open folder with video and last: open wideo by tv file manager.

BTW I hope that Sony will fix it in the next update and we can play video by Movies app Winking_Face
