Ice Cream and GPS on Xperia Arc

Phone :  Sony Experia Arc

Android Version :  4.0.4   /   Build Number :  4.1.B.0.431

Since upgrading my Xperia Arc to Ice Cream I have had problems, problems that didn't exist prior to the upgrade;

1) Phone completely freezing and having to replace the battery to use again

2) Slower than ever

..but my major problem and one I am hoping I can get a solution to is the GPS.  Since upgrading, 98% of the time I cannot get a GPS fix.  I thought it was the application I was using, Endomonda Pro, but I also have the problem when using navigation in Maps.

I have rebooted the phone, installed software, turned all GPS off and on and still have the problem.

Please can someone help.

Thank you.

The first thing I would advise doing is running a Factory Data Reset through the reset options in Settings. Please do ensure you backup any phone content prior to doing so as this would be deleted via this process.

I have completed a factory reset which 'appears' to have fixed the GPS issue (although it was intermitant so will keep trying).

However, doing a factory reset has caused fvurther issue's that I would like to resolve.....

1) The option to unlink the Ringer and Notification volumes is not available.

2) Two options within email settings have disappeared;

     2.1) Number of emails shown

     2.2) Delete email from server (this option appears when setting up a pop3 email account but not an imap email account but before the factory reset it was available for both)

Thank you.
