Install it and you will see 5 folders
Custom
Drivers
Firmwares
Loaders
X10Flasher_lib
take the firmware to the "Firmwares" folder
click on Falsh
Press Ok
it will ask you to connect your phone on Flashmode (turn off your phone, press the back button, then connect the USB) press OK

Contacts
this is how to manually backup your contacts with Google/Gmail
open your phonebook
press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email
on your computer
-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import
SMS Backup + (SMS/MMS/Call Log)
this app it's great it will sync your SMS/MMS/Call Log with your Gmail
this is by far the fastest way to backup/restore SMS
Apps
Don't worry so much about backing up your apps
on your computer go to: market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone
The Backup & Restore was designed for the 2010 Xperias but work with the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Xperias
the Backup & Restore app will backup your SMS, MMS, Call Logs, Settings, Apps & Contacts.

How to sideload apps
unkown sourcess MUST be selected
1st Method
download OI File Manager (or any other file manager)
download the app on your computer, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it
2nd method
download the apk on your computer, send it to yourself through email, make sure you send it to your Gmail
now on your phone
go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources
wait for the email, once you get the email, open it, and instead of downloading the attachment it will allow you to install it, voila, done
3rd Method
go to box.com and upload the apks from any computer
install the App on your phone -> open BOX -> tap on the app -> install it
4th Method
download the app, transfer it to your SD card
Download Apk Manager
open "Apk Manager" and voila select the apps that you wan't to install
if you want to revert to Android 2.3.4 there are 2 options
1) take your phone to a Sony Service Center
