how do i get better battery on my verizon xperia play?

i have a the verizon xperia play for about 7 months now and lemme say THE BATTERY SUCKS does any one have any ideas besides rooting?

charge your phone 100% and use it until it gets to 10% w/o any charges in between, then go to

settings -> about phone -> battery use and copy all the info and also tap on each one and copy  all the info here

that way we can all know what is draining your battery

turn off:

gps

auto sync

wifi

bluetooth

lower the brightness and if you don't use your data plan all the time, turn it off too

your battery should last around 12hours, that's normal on smartphones

BUT MY WIFI KEEPS MY  BATTERY ALIVE and are there any other ways?

what do you mean that your wifi keeps your battery alive?

if you keep wifi on it will drain batttery more.. so its better if not in use to turn off the wifi...
