I woke up in the morning and turned on my phone

and a screen pop up and says:

The application Sony Ericsson Home (processcom.sonyericsson.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again.

and there is a button says: force close

when I tapped that button, it shows this on my screen

It still able to connect to my computer, to update the andriod software ( I just updated to the newest one 4.2 something to just to see any hope that could fixed my phone)

but I can't call, can't do anything from the phone, can't even go to setting.

I saw some of the post that people were having the same problem, and I had tried all of them,

but it doesn't work....

I got this phone in august, when the phone just came out, and it was perfectly fine before the day I was using it.

Please help me =[

if that doesn't work then use Update Service (remove both SIM and SD card before hand)

1st take off the battery and w/o it press and hold the power button for 5 seconds, put the battery back on and turn it on, if it doesn't work then

on your computer go to

market.android.com sign in look for taskiller

click on install, your phone should download it soon after, drag the notification bar down open it and kill all the apps

thank you so much for helping me re-set up my phone,

the phone is fine now

it just sadly I have to use the update service

every all my contacts are lost,

but oh well, at least my phone is fine now

For future reference

Make sure you backup everything

Settings -> privacy -> Back up my data and Automatic restore should be selected

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

download IO File Manager

download the backup & restore app, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

Contacts

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email

on your computer

-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import

Apps

Don't worry so much about backing up your apps

on your computer go to

market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone
