Hi,

I've just started using Xperia Ray and have imported my contacts from my old phone by transferring through my PC. Though all my contacts appear, they are just names, without any numbers. Additionally, though I can see all of them through the Contacts button, when I go to messaging and Add Recipient, only 5-6 contacts appear and no more. I am confused as to the reason for this and how I can resolve the issue. Have they not been imported right or what?

because you can customize it (a lot) set specific ringtones or LED light notification for one or many contacts.

how did you transfered them from your pc to your Xperia?

you should sync them to Gmail from your PC then sync to your Xperia, that way on your PC you can Edit the names and phone numbers from Gmail (Gmail -> contacts)

Hey,

Thanks for your response. I don't want to sync my Gmail contacts actually. Just transfer the ones I had in my Nokia to this phone. (Gmail is personal; these contacts are all professional) I used Nokia PC Suite to copy contacts to Windows. Then used PC Companion to import from Windows and transfer to Ray.

you can always delete them from your Gmail, and/or create a subgroup called it work and that will be easier to backup incase you need to do a factory reset or new updates

I'm not sure if this program it's compatible with Nokia but if it is

Download My Phone Explorer on your PC and your Ray, first use the one on your PC to sync w/ your nokia then w/ your ray

Hey,

My Phone Explorer can't connect to the Nokia but no issues. I'll just do this manually or something.

Could you help me one other thing though? Is there a way to turn off the thread messaging format and stick to the classic one in ray? Thanks for all the help. Cheers.
