heavy battery drain issue

heavy battery drain.. phone battery is 100% and watching 2
hour movie on my player it reduces to 50%...i don't think it's
normal...battery per % fall is 3 min...where same on xperia
c it last for 12%...pls help..

Well, sounds pretty normal to me. There is a battery review here, but I don't think it represents real world use:

I never get anywhere near that - no way would I get 7 hours video with mobile data on.

Goto setting>power management>battery usage

See what is draining your battery also keep in mind SP have Bravia engine2 that use more battery and bigger screen

mostly screen is 40 to 50% ..i keep ma brightness low but nothing working out...

As i connect to mobile data 2g...battery just last for 5 hours in full charge compare to my friend xperia c it last for 7 to 8 hours

Try disabling apps that run in the background and use mobile data. Facebook is a notorious battery hog. Email clients with push enabled can also be quite resource hungry.

If you go to settings->apps->running, that will tell you what's running in the background.

all built apps are disable which I don't use fb too but nothing working...do you think it's normal? ??wt i mention above about battery behaviour?

can you say me normally how much it should last ...n wt is the per % fall..so i can know it's normal or i should go for battery replace...

I think its normal..data connection will drain battery so fast

Is your phone brand new??or recently updated?

It sounds a little on the high side, but I really don't think you need to change the battery.

Mobile data makes a big difference. If I'm out and about the battery will be completely gone by the end of the day with moderate use.

Some reviews say you get 4-5 hours streaming video on a full charge, which sounds about right to me.

no it's been 6 months now...yup i updated it to .201 recently but was facing it before too was waiting for update but no changes
