gmail not showing new mails in notification status

In my neo v, gmail is not showing new mails in notification bar but email notification is enabled in gmail settings.

Checked after mecafee uninstallaed, still facing the same issue.. please need ur help for further assistance

Have you turned on auto sync within the settings? if not you will need to do so as emails wont download and provide an email notification if you have to download them manually.
