Ok, now it gives me the eagernes to flash it, and props to uliwooly ill take his advise, back up my current firmware, flash the ICS, then revert back to current firmware when update is available for my SI No... thanks Sir, Good thing i found a fellow filipino in this forum and thanks for sharing and for the help...:smileyhappy:
Yup, I'm sure you already see uliwooly all over the place, such a helpful lad. I'm around as well for as much as I can, but I'm not as expert as uli is on this.
What annoys me the most about it is I can't seem to get into my friend's photos through their page. I can only view profile pictures through clicking on the profile picture, or view other albums if there is a link to that album on their page. That's a bit annoying!
Now that you mentioned that, I noticed that as well now. Let me see if there's a work around.
Yup. you're right. There's no way to access the photos directly. This is more of an app issue though, not actually caused by the update.
hi sir almightybong i had flashed already mine and got same problemas yours on Facebook app, is there any way that can we fix this?,or do we need to wait for the Facebookteam to update thier app wihich will imprve the Facebook app issues on Sony Xperia S ICS version,? and im just curious, how about others that update their phones using the PC companio or the SUS, did they face same issues like ours?..
I don't think it's an ICS issue so much as a Facebook app issue. Just need to wait on an app update from Google Play Store...
(but I mean seriously... Who tests these things?? It's clearly not very thorough!)
Pre, stop calling me sir, haha... It makes me feel so knightly... Hehe...
I think anyone who has ICS on their phone, whether it be Sony or other OEMs, will have the same version of Facebook if they update to the latest available in Google Play. I'm guessing, all we need to do is wait for a new update from FB. I don't think this version of the Facebook app is exclusive to Xperia S on ICS.
Cheers!
You are indeed correct. This is not something we have direct control over unfortunately so it is simply case of Facebook providing an update to their application. However they do tend to be rather prompt and frequent with their updates.

I updated mine using SUS to ICS and the facebook app is also having the same issues. The facebook app developers (and not Sony) just need to be update their app to fully support ICS.
