Deleted my pics by mistake

Hi. Please help. I have deleted my pics and screen shots by mistake and need to recover them. Have tried programmes like recuva etc but the drive does not appear in the list.

there isn't a way to retrieve them, you will have to keep looking for a program that might do it, also connect your phone to your computer > check DCIM > thumbnails, it might not have all the pictures but it will have some not full quality but at least some.

for future reference also back them up with Google

settings > accounts & settings > google > auto upload

also check

google plus > settings > instant upload

you can set it up so it will only upload pictures and videos when you are on a wifi connection

if your phone its not rooted none of that will work, did you check the thumbnails folder?

Yes I checked the thumbnails.No luck.... I am so upset

No my phone is not rooted. Is rooting so dangerous?????

it could be if you don't know what you do, but its not worth the effort, for future reference turn on the auto-backup option with google sync and google plus.

When i open the thumbnails folder there is a file called . thumbdata and a long number. ocupiing 73mb...... cant seem to open it

could i find more pics in there?

Dont care about the quality just need the pics back

on your PC > open folder settings and make sure it show hidden files
