Contacts not showing in contacts list.

I'm unable to dial in my mobile and couldn't view any contact from the Contact list.Whenever I click the dialer symbol in my phone a error msg appears and thus stopping me from entering number or viewing contact. The error message I receive is below:

"The application Contacts (process com.sonyericsson.android.socialphonebook) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."

This has been very frustrating since, I'm unable to dial any calls and could not view the missed calls. I can just receive calls.

Note: But I'm able to see the Contact name while receiving the call from anyone that was already in my contact list. 

Please help..!!!!

Restart your phone and then open the phonebook > menu > filter 

Do you have any taskillers? antivirus? ram apps? booster apps? cache apps? have you disable any apps ?

You can reboot on safe mode and check if you experience the same error

Hi Alex,

Thank you and I have checked the above link you have provided, stating this is related to Google services. If I uninstall Play market, would it work then? If not is there anyway to access my phonebook until this is resolved by them..!!!!

You can remove updates for google play services or simply remove accounts that are related to google like facebook,viber etc.

Hi Alex,

Thanks a lot, my Phonebook is working now. Fotunately I have my HTC ONE X+ that I can rely for Social media, since I had to uninstall Play store (Updates), whatsapp, FB and so many:(

I'm happy though this temporary solution is working:). Hope, Google fixes this soon!!!
