cannot register to gmail after a hard reset please help

i need your help beacuse i only had this phone for 4 months and i never had problems until it started freezing. i did a master reset following this:

Settings> Privacy> Factory data reset.. then the phone stopped freezing however, i can no longer sign my phone in to gmail with the old acct that i had with it before i did the damn reset. here's what. whenever i log in to my gmail acct using my phone's browser, it does not have any issues AT ALL. but the phone , this x8 really cannot register to my gmail. please help.

Don't worry, you are not.

Let's try software repair with either PC Companion or Update Service. Here's the download link ....

Download and install to PC/Laptop, launch it and follow on-screen instructions. This process will erase phone data completely.

I hope this works, fingers crossed.

hi how are you gwhispererz! i have i great news here. the things u told me fixed it.. i was getting ready to go to the last step when i thought of turning my phone off just to sort of refresh it.. and boom. its fixed! i can now play with the market and all other stuff.. thanks a lot! i owe u one.
