Hi I am getting a message Cannot play track, unsupported file format, I have used Media Go to transfer audio from my PC, Can anyone help me please?
Solved! Go to Solution.
http://www.formatoz.com/ Try using Format Factory to convert these tracks to MP3 or other compatible (for your phone) format. Here are the X8's specs: http://developer.sonymobile.com/products/phones/specification/xperiax8/
What format is this audio file in?

There may be a problem with the specific file extension of these files. What you can try is: open Media Go--Tools--Preferences--Devices--Highlight your phone--click on Properties--Media Format--here select the Audio Format from the drop-down menu (the options vary with each device, but you can choose MP3 which your phone supports, or try a different format if this doesn't work) and untick the box that says "only encode audio when required by device".
Once this is done, delete the unplayable tracks from your phone, connect it to the PC and re-transfer them back to the phone.
Thank you for your time, I have tried all the things you suggested but with no luck, If you can think of anything else I can try I will give it a go, I am using windows 7 and a Tosh lap top if this makes any difference? Once again thanks for you help in this matter,

Just wanted to ask, when transferring tracks via Media Go, do you right-click on the track/album and then select to transfer to the phone/memory card, or do you drag and drop?
I right click on the track to highlight it then select to transfer, I am trying out the Format Factory at the moment, Fingers crossed that this works, I will let you know the outcome.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! The Fortmat Factory did the trick, Thanks once again for your input on this matter, A big thumbs up from me,

You're welcome, glad it's done the trick!
