CANNOT DISABLE CHINESE KEYBOARD IN XPERIA SP

I am using the unvervrsal keyboard layout, with English enabled. That is all right.

Yet, I want to uncheck the Chinese keyboard. But that box is greyed out, so I can't uncheck it. Tried everything to disable the Chinese keyboard, still no solution. I am running Jellybean 4.2. 

Can anybody help? 

Problem in short: I want to uncheck/disable/remove Chinese keyboard and keep only the Xperia international keyboard layout ticked (which I have done anyway)

You can't uncheck Chinese keyboard.

Even on other devices, like my xperia L, isn't possible.

Anyway it doesn't create any issue.

Hi. thanks for the info. well it doesn't create any issue but still i don't want to leave it turned on without finding out why. android has so many elements that have no answer to all our whys!

Most likely isn't a issue of android itself, but of the customization made by the device manufacturer.

On phones/tablets with stock version of android (like my Nexus7) user has more power of self-customization (and of create issues :smileylaugh:)

I also tried to do this, disable the Chinese keyboard, but couldnt, as it doesnt let you, but I realized it doesnt cause an issue as said, so just left it as has to be left that way.

yes it creates an issue... this Chinese keyboard eats 108mb of my precious ram.
