C905 No SMS Conversation View or Smile Shutter

Hello,

I recently bought a Sony Ericsson C905, and it didn't seem to have any of the features mentioned so I tried to update it using the PC Companion software which I downloaded from the Sony website. However the software is telling me my software is up to date, when clearly it's still on a previous edition.

I have tried turning the phone on and off after connecting it to the computer but nothing has changed.

Would appreciate any help on this!

It sounds like your phone has a software customization that doesn't include these features.

(Pretty common with carrier branded devices)

Give me the SI number of your phone and I can tell you the name of the latest software available for you.

The SI number can be found behind the battery, SI XXXX-XXXX.

This is indeed a carrier branded device (Telefonica to be precise).

Many operators chose not to include the conversation style / smile shutter since they did not want to change a function in a product that was already launched. Not sure why but Telefonica are clearly one of them.

Unfortunately, there's nothing to do about this.
