Hi. Whenever I load something on the SD card, be it music or images, the stuff doesn't show up in the gallery nor in the music player. The player shows deleted music too, although that is a minor annoyance. The gallery shows thumbnails of deleted images, that's very annoying. But the most annoying part is that I can't load any music (I even tried with songs that were already on the card, tried deleting and re-adding them, nothing).
What's the deal here?

Weird, try this:
Go to Settings > Apps > All > Media Storage > And then "Clear Data"
This will reset your media database. Afterwards Restart your phone then try open the gallery and music app. Nothing will be there, don't worry, it will eventually say "refreshing" or "updating". Now just wait about 10-20 minutes. ; )
If the problem keeps happening after the database is updated, then repair your phone.

the button is disabled because there's no cache
Sorry that was a typo. Press Ctrl + F5 on this page.
More than a typo then
Did it, it's updating the media, we'll see what happens. Thanks so far!
lol, I was trying to write it from memory.
Thats alright, it doesn't sound healthy though, so you may still need a repair...
I gotta say, the phone has been behaving quite weird lately. Although I've always attributed it to the fact that the memory in this model is so shockingly small it's no wander stuff doesn't run if it keeps running out of it. Should've not updated to ICS
I have found that ICS needs a lot of customising. Personally, mine is running fine after going through and disabling 1/5 of all the apps. And uninstalling applications that I didn't really need or that doubled up on some functions.
Along with disabling/uninstalling unused apps try this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tritop.android.SLWCacheCleanerWidget&hl=en
All it is is a widget that clears all your cache at once, might save you a bit of space.
Very weird ! I heard many reporting this problem. I installed media root scan from Google Play to avoid this problem
