Hi
I live in Australia. Both Bridge for mac software and http://sonymobile.com/software state that there is no update avaliable for my phone. As far as I know, Anroid 4 is released for Xperia TM S so this mens that my phone is already running Android 4 but when I go to settings=>About phone, then Android version is shown as 2.3.7 and not 4. What is wrong?

Xperia S has android Gingerbread (2.3.7) when you bought it.
it says up to date because you either still have not receive the update to android ICS (4.0.3/4.0.4)
you have to look your SI number here first if the update is available to your device.
actually Xperia S is running gingerbread out of the box.
I do not understand this. I just bought the phone few weeks ago. Can you please explain this more clearly?

there's only Android 2.3.7 and a 4.0.4 update, if your phone it's or was locked to a network, you have to contact them as it's up to them to release it, if you don't want to wait then
