add date/timestamp to photos

Is there an option to include the date & timestamps in the photos?

I was hoping that I missed some obscure setting to allow android to auto-embed a timestamp like most cameras do.  That 3rd party app looks like something one could use to tweak the picture later - manually.  But maybe what I'm looking for is just not available at this time.  (sigh)

Nope, there is no settings for the stock camera for date/timestamp.
