Accessing indiviual web pages blocked by active profile

My phone has been access the web quite well until a couple of days ago. It will still access facebook freely and will show me the results of google searches but it will not let me go to specific web pages which show up on google searches. Instead it gives me the message 'Service is not part of the active profile'. I was not aware that any profile at all was active as I have not investigated any such functions on my phone. There is a chance though that my toddler has done something in the small window of opportunity she had the other day. Any help would be much appreciated.

Can anyone help? I'm not even sure if my question is phrased correctly and makes sense, or whether the problem is with my phone or my provider, though I suspect it's the phone. Does this phone use profiles? I've been trying to find out. Any hints or feedback on whether my question makes sense are welcome.

It sounds like you have somehow ended up with WAP settings instead of full Internet settings. You can check this by:

Main Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names > You may need to check with your current network provider to confirm if what you have listed here are WAP or Internet APN's. If it turns out they are WAP settings please ask them to provide you the Internet APN.

Sam you are spot on. Thanks a million. TBH I had trouble getting access to the internet in the first place. Endless calls on the phone. Eventually went to a store and the woman there fixed it in not time. Thanks a million for your help. Very very much appreciated.
